Years of experience
Shree Heyagreevar Educational Trust was founded and officially registered on 20th August 2010 with a vision to provide quality education to rural communities. The trust draws inspiration from Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy, who famously said, "The only service to be done to our people is to give them education." The learned and dedicated members of the trust recognized the critical need for educational institutions in socially and economically backward areas. As a result, they decided to establish a school to cater to the educational needs of the local population. This initiative was essential in addressing the growing demand for quality education and empowering students from underprivileged backgrounds.
To fulfill this mission, the trust inaugurated Bright Public School in Purisai village, located near Veerampakkam Kootroad, Cheyyar Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District. Bright Public School follows the CBSE curriculum, offering modern, holistic education in a rural setting. The school aims to uplift the marginalized communities in the area by providing access to excellent academic programs, extracurricular activities, and personal development opportunities. Through its commitment to providing affordable, high-quality education, Bright Public School stands as a beacon of hope for the local children, shaping future generations with knowledge, values, and life skills.
Purisai, a village situated in Cheyyar Taluk of the Thiruvannamalai District, holds a significant place in Tamil Nadu’s rich cultural heritage. The village is renowned for Therukoothu, an ancient and celebrated form of street theater. Therukoothu is one of India’s oldest performing arts, showcasing stories from epics like the Mah abharata and Ramayana through a blend of music, dance, and dialogue. This traditional art form has put Purisai on the cultural map of Tamil Nadu and India, attracting scholars and enthusiasts interested in folk art.
However, despite its cultural fame, Purisai has long been an economically and educationally disadvantaged area. The majority of the village's population belongs to underprivileged and marginalized communities, and access to modern educational facilities has been limited. The local economy largely depends on agriculture, and educational awareness has been historically low.
Shree Heyagreevar Educational Trust identified this gap and took the decisive step of starting Bright Public School in Purisai to address the lack of educational opportunities. The school is more than just an academic institution; it is a social initiative to uplift the local community by empowering children with the education they deserve. Bright Public School works to bridge the gap between tradition and modernity, ensuring that while the children of Purisai village cherish their cultural roots, they are also equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in today's world.
In essence, Bright Public School is not only a center of academic excellence but also a catalyst for social and economic upliftment, providing hope and opportunities to the children of Purisai and surrounding areas.
